Egg labels can be confusing. Here is what each one means, and which ones apply to EGGJOY eggs.

Hens are not kept in cages. They live in a shelter and can go outside to walk, scratch the ground and stretch their wings.

Cage-free
Hens are not in cages, but they may live indoors all their lives. Cage-free does not mean the hens go outside.
Rules for these labels differ from country to country, so the label on a box is a promise from the farm. Ask us anything about how our hens live.
Brown or white shells?
Shell colour comes from the hen's breed. It makes no difference to taste or nutrition.
Deep orange yolks?
Yolk colour mostly reflects what the hen eats, such as grass, greens and corn. It is not a sign of freshness.
